Just a Day, was Feeder's final single of 2001 and their last with drummer Jon Lee. It started off on the soundtrack of Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec, and then the "Seven Days in the Sun" single as a b-side. It was released as a single after encoragement from the bands fanbase on their messageboard.
Despite having already appreared in the top 20 earlier in the year as a b-side, the single A-side release stayed in the top 20 for 4 weeks and became the bands best-selling single. It instantly became a regular to end the bands live sets.
