"Addicted To Love" is a song by Robert Palmer. It is the third song on the Riptide album.
The music video was directed by Terence Donovan, in which Palmer's backing band is a group of mini-skirted identical women. Perhaps surprisingly, the video involved a certain amount of electronic trickery: Palmer never actually met them. The video is notable for being the first (and last) one shown on long running UK music programme The Chart Show. Palmer recycled the video's "identical women" concept for the videos of two other singles of his; namely "I Didn't Mean to Turn You On" (also from Riptide) and "Simply Irresistible" (from Heavy Nova).
The video was very popular and was referenced/parodied in several videos, including Mr Blobby's music video, Shania Twain's "Man! I Feel Like a Woman!," Tone Loc's "Wild Thing," Bowling for Soup's "1985" and Weird Al Yankovic's "UHF." In addition, Weird Al parodied the song itself in a song called "Addicted To Spuds". As well, Bill Nighy's character, Billy Mack, parodies the video in the romantic comedy Love Actually.
The 2006 Super Bowl spot of the TV series "Lost" featured an edited version of the video with inserted images of the show's first and second seasons and modified lyrics that changed the word "love" for "Lost" (hence the title, "Addicted to Lost").

still outstandingly good and it has never been bettered(the video) in over 20-odd years. Even though it wasn't one of Robert Palmer's better songs, it is still a lasting legacy to his popularity and his class. Class, though, NEVER goes out of style.
